Rest Home
Residents assessed as requiring Rest Home level care are more independent and mobile.
The Rest Home is managed by a Team Leader who has overall responsibility for the care of our clients in that Unit. A Team Leader or registered nurse is on duty at all times and caregivers also assist Rest Home clients with their daily living.

We have a Quality Management system in place which gives consistency of care over 24 hours, seven days per week.Health and safety issues are addressed for our clients as well as our staff, as are issues of patients' rights. Patient Advocates take regular meetings or are available as needed.
A team of five General Practitioners visit the home on a rotating daily basis and each client is assigned to a particular Doctor. Clients may choose to continue with their own external GP.
Our wonderful Occupational Therapy staff, provide a program of activities for all Rest Home clients each day. These vary from bowling, Housie, board games, cooking, music appreciation, exercising to music, craftwork, concerts, outings, crossword and Thi Chi.

Highly experienced Physiotherapy staff assist clients each day to improve their mobility and ease pain. Clients are referred by their Doctor or by nursing staff.
A hairdresser works in our attractive salon to provide a much appreciated service to clients, and a podiatrist offers foot care on a weekly basis.
Superb meals are provided for clients - breakfast can be taken in bed or in the Dining Room, main meals in the middle of the day and a light meal is provided in the early evening. The Chef provides a seasonal menu, with many old favourites included.
