Community Partnership Coordinator
Flexible 0.6 FTE
Elizabeth Knox Home and Hospital is an Eden Alternative home transforming care for elders and younger people with physical disability. At Knox, plants, animals, children and meaningful activity are part of our daily life. Greater energy and optimism is our hallmark.
We are looking for exceptional people with curiosity, a warm heart and an innovative spirit. Like our residents who take every opportunity for continued growth and wellbeing, we expect our team to demonstrate a willingness to grow and learn every day.
The Community Partnerships – Cultivate Coordinator's role is an innovative and exciting position.
Elizabeth Knox Home & Hospital’s Cultivate programme develops links and relationships with a wide range of community groups and organisations so that Knox residents continue to be meaningfully involved in the world they live in unique and exciting ways. Knox residents can volunteer their time and expertise or they can share in experiences. Identifying opportunities and developing both internal and external relationships is key to this role.
You may be a teacher or be in some other community-based role and ready to explore a new level of autonomy. You must be self-motivated and work from a strengths-based model. Additionally, a substantive knowledge of the contemporary Auckland community is vital.
This role builds community engagement and cross-generational opportunities for elders and those younger living with physical disability at Knox.
In addition, you will grow the grant funding aspect of Knox through the development of strong and positive community relationships. An ability to identify and contribute news stories to promote your activities would be advantageous.
The Community Partnerships Coordinator works in association with the Knox Volunteer coordination team to grow our 800-strong volunteer team, so a youthful approach is essential.
Please apply by forwarding your CV and covering letter to CEO, Jill Woodward.
