Our team is seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse ready to take the next step in their career as Home Lead!
This is a full-time role (40 hours/week) working weekdays and one weekend day.
At Elizabeth Knox Home and Hospital, you will have the opportunity to be creative and actively contribute to the multidisciplinary assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of resident care supported by the Eden Alternative model of care. As you progress in your role, you will have the opportunity to practice and enhance your leadership skills as you lead and
coordinate a highly skilled team of Care Partners in your home. We will partner to support your growth and success in the role.
What you bring:
• A current Annual Practising Certificate for your role as a Registered Nurse backed by a rich clinical experience in any field of nursing.
• A curious mind – you are open to learning and adopting new ways of doing things and the technology that supports these.
• A warm heart – caring is at your core. You seek to improve residents’ quality of life and well-being through good care and loving companionship.
• An innovative spirit – you see the ability and not disability in the elders who call Knox their home. You explore ways to support and encourage the continued unfolding of human growth.
• An agile being – you proactively meet resident needs and effectively manage your time.

What we offer:
• Recognition of the work you do – competitive remuneration packages starting $48.11 / hour – $49.96 / hour depending on experience and qualification plus night and weekend allowances, and overtime at T1.5.
• Flexible rosters to suit your lifestyle – generally 8 hour shifts.
• Support for your professional growth – we provide you with access to a formal
Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP) in partnership with Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora. We also offer you dedicated and paid continuing professional development days.
• True multidisciplinary teamwork – you will work with and be supported by on-site Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and General Practitioners. Your clinical care will be supported by our Lifestyle and Leisure Team and our award-winning volunteer to bring out the best of resident life in the Knox community.
• Support for when you need it – you will be working with other RNs and ENs on
any shift. You will be supported by a Site Manager on afternoon and night shifts and during the weekend for navigating those tricky and unfamiliar situations. We have an onsite Rotor Coordinator to assist you with staffing needs releasing your time to care.
