Hospital level care

Hospital level care (often called a nursing home) is for people with high health and care needs. At Elizabeth Knox Home and Hospital in Epsom, Auckland, residents have registered nurses 24 hours a day.

Our registered nurses are supported by the Care Leader. In hospital level care there is, on average, one staff member for every five residents. Our medical team visits every weekday, and our nurses keep learning through ongoing training.

Our physiotherapy and occupational therapy teams help residents stay as strong and independent as possible, at no extra cost.
